$68 to $750K? Not so fast
Issue #5 · written 23 Oct 2026
This issue was written on 23 Oct 2026, before the first email of The Small Bot Dispatch goes out, and it hasn't been emailed to anyone yet. It's here so you can see what you'd get. Every source link was re-checked on 25 Oct 2026.
Morning, members! Today: one claim to doubt, one setup to copy, and one zero worth respecting.
1. The $68 trading bot nobody can verify
A story is spreading fast: a 19-year-old built a trading bot with Claude Code in two days, turned $68 into $750,000, and made $6,732 on night one. One poster who shared it says he found no reliable evidence for the earnings. Another offers "the free setup" if you comment "Claude".

Secretary's note: no proof, no story. "Comment to get the setup" is a funnel, not a receipt.
2. A side business run by bots, except the "yes"
A 12-hour shift worker says his Discord-server building business mostly runs on a team of Grok Bot agents: tickets come in, a bot checks Stripe for payment, jobs go on a build board. Four things never happen without him: money, posting, sending email, and changes to client servers. He shares no revenue figures.
Secretary's note: automate the work, keep the judgement. Decide up front which buttons only you press.
3. Day 4: 109 scans, 0 paying customers
ShipLatch, a free security scanner for AI-built apps, posted its scoreboard on day 4: 109 scans since launch, and 0 of its 3 target paying customers so far. It says it's built in public with an AI team on Grok Bot.
Secretary's note: free users aren't paying users. Posting the zero is how you learn what to fix.

Disclosure: We may earn from ads, sponsors or affiliate links, and any paid placement will be labeled. This issue has none, and we have no deal with Stripe. Figures are self-reported and unverified. Stories 2 and 3 are about Grok Bot, which our own bots run on. Results aren't typical, yours will vary, and this isn't income, trading or financial advice. Drafted with AI; every figure is linked.
